What is the difference between USA and USAIGC Competitive Programs?

USAIGC Competitive Program

The USAIGC/IAIGC Competitive Program is built on long-term skill development with the intentional slowing down of our gymnasts' learning curve providing the necessary time to develop and perfect gymnastic skills in a logical, progressive and safe manner with recommended training hours per level. This Optional Only College Bound Competitive Program was established to provide Gymnasts and Coaches with a large variety of optional gymnastic skills to master instead of the restrictive mandatory compulsory skills.

The training schedule is less demanding than that of the USA Competitive Program providing gymnasts with the opportunity to be involved in other interests outside of gymnastics and typically results in the gynmasts remaining in the program for a longer period of time.

Gymnasts compete in Local, Regional, State, and National Competitions throughout the season.

USA Gymnastics Competitive Program

The USA Gymnastics Competitive Program is goverened by the rules and regulations of USA Gymnastics and requires a very high level of commitment with a demanding training schedule.  The gymnasts compete

in the Junior Olympic Program of USA-Gymnastics

The USAG team is made up of gymnasts whose commitment to the sport is at a high-level.  The requirements set by the USAG are demanding for sure but spurred on by their coaches; our girls are up to the challenge pushing themselves to excel in this competitive sport!

Gymnasts compete in Local, Regional, State, and National Competitions throughout the season.
